WHO SAYS these mountains won’t move?

WHO SAYS these mountains won’t move?

Sometimes the work can feel overwhelming. The problems can seem insurmountable. The weight can weigh you down.

When you’re following and serving Jesus, sometimes it feels like you’re walking through treacle.

Sticky, impossible treacle.

And Satan’s not exactly silent, is he?

“My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.” Lamentations 3:20 (KJV)

“I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.” Psalm 77:3 (KJV)

But what does it mean to be MORE than a conqueror?

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37 (KJV)

What does it mean that GOD is FOR us?

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 (KJV)

What does it mean to have a HEAVENLY army on our side?

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:15-17 (KJV)

What does it mean that we can tell this mountain to move…

And it WILL?!

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20 (KJV)

Answers to prayer are always on their way.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.” 2 Chronicles 17:20 (KJV)

‘If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.’ John 15:7 (KJV)

‘The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.’ James 1:16a-18 (KJV)

All that happened because of the prayers of

Just. One. Man.

(JUST like us, it says!)’

(Are you encouraged yet?) 😉

As we walk forward in faith…

the mountains will disappear!

‘Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.’

Isaiah 41:15-16 (KJV)

‘And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.’ Mark 11:22-23 (KJV)

‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.’ Zechariah 4:6b (KJV)

So let’s pray, abide, believe…

And watch these mountains MOVE!!
